Smile, Carmen

"So easy, ballet" (so they say)
Watch that smile. You'd pay to feel like that.

Effort
Patience
Fatigue
Will
Obedience
Inspiration
Pain
Strenght
Concentration
Overwhelming
Balance
Endurance
Love

Voilà, your ingredients. Shake them well.
Oh, the outcome? Call it absolute joy. It is wonderful, when u're there, like her, you don't feel the above. It's you and the music, and it's happening and nothing's ever gone wrong.
How to describe it? When something's so damn good you forget whatever it's made of or whatever it might bring along.
You see, at that point where you see her, you don't care about what it cost you, that little steady-after-30-jumps pose, 'cause there's nothing in the WORLD that you want more badly than being there, being her. And live that music-

I wanted more than anything to play her.
You see, she is perfect, Carmen. The coreography (every variation i've seen so far) is perfect.
She is positively breathtaking, as every good dancer is, but it is every Carmen's effect to make you dance and fly behind her.
Ballet was the hardest thing to quit.
